INSTRUCTOR TRAINING

Atwill is proud to offer the Romana Pilates classical instructor training program. This specialized 600+ hour certification program is the most prestigious and comprehensive certification in the world. It is a rigorous, year long training that prides itself in teaching the transformative work Joseph Pilates created. It is the program that all trainers at ATWILL have completed and is an exceptional training for students who are devoted to gaining a deep understanding of the classical system in order to offer the highest quality of instruction. The training is a combination of hands-on instruction, observation, seminars, and practice teaching. The program is divided into three stages- Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. Each student must master the activities within each phase before progressing to the next level. To qualify for entry into the training, students must pass an assessment that demonstrates their proficiency at the intermediate level on all key pieces of Gratz Pilates apparatus.  Upon completion of each level, a student becomes qualified to teach more and more clients. Romana classical Pilates teachers are well sought after. Your deep knowledge of the work and ability to offer your clients personalized sessions means high client retention and job security. The seminars are taught by the top Romana instructors around the world, which gives the students the ability to work with world renowned classical trainers. Whether you’re interested in starting your career as a Pilates instructor or currently have a certification but desiring to expand your knowledge and fine tune your practice, this training is the “creme de la creme” of the Pilates world. If you are already a Pilates instructor, there is a “bridge” program option those who have already been through other classical Pilates trainings.

The Romana Training is led by Monica Wilson, a lifelong practitioner of classical Pilates and niece of Romana Kryzanowska, one of Joseph Pilates’ proteges. Our 2025 training will start January X. If interested please reach out promptly to schedule an assessment.
