S O N R U L L A N / Deià, Mallorca

Son Rullan is a converted 13th century monastery tucked high in the hillside amidst Mallorca’s stunning Tramuntana mountain range, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was serendipity that landed us on this remarkable property during our Spanish scouting trip late last summer, and she stole our hearts the minute we set foot on her blessed grounds. The thick stone walls, pebbled floors, beamed ceilings, cozy communal spaces, tiered outdoor terraces and pool . . . every last altar, tabletop, and nook creating beautiful, almost sacred vignettes. The historic monastery is surrounded by cascades of ancient olive groves and boasts some of the most breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. The charming village of Deià is just a 10-minute drive away (though we prefer the hike that the monks used to take) where you can dip in and out of art galleries, taste local fare, and make your way down to the emerald-hued calas, or coves, for that perfect afternoon swim.

+ Airfare + transport not included — Son Rullan is located approximately 30-40 minutes from Palma de Mallorca. Book your flight into Palma (PMI) and then plan on renting a car (for yourself or with other retreat guests) for the drive up to the monastery. We highly encourage you to rent a car as the retreat location is remote and taxi/shuttle service is limited. If you’d prefer not renting a vehicle, we can help to arrange transportation from / to the airport, though prices will vary depending upon the number of passengers in the car.

+ Retreat kicks off on Sunday afternoon — please plan on arriving between 3:00-5:00pm. We will close the weekend on Friday at noon. As an aside, Mallorca is a large and incredibly diverse island with heaps to offer. We highly recommend that you extend your stay on either end of the retreat if you are able!

CANCELLATION POLICY: Your booking is secured with a deposit that is not refundable. Refunds for the balance payments vary depending on the timing of the cancellation request. Should you need to cancel with more than 30 days until the retreat date, you will be refunded 100% of the total amount (less deposit). Should you need to cancel within 30 days of the retreat date, 50% of the total amount (less deposit) will be refunded. Finally, under no circumstance will there will be any refunds given for cancellation requests made within 14 days of the retreat date. Exceptions cannot be made for any reason, including weather, injury/illness, or personal emergencies. We do not offer refunds or credit for a guest who fails to attend, arrives late, or leaves early. Naturally, no one books with the intention of canceling or postponing their retreat, but unexpected things do happen, so please consider purchasing travel cancellation insurance.
